Before you start
- Modern Warfare 2, tested by the author with the Steam version. This is a standalone engine rewrite, not a mod injected into MW2.
- Optional, for the Skate 3 mode: the extracted default.xex and data folder from your own Xbox 360 copy of Skate 3, plus a controller.
- For the Minecraft map: an internet connection on first run, when Minecraft's own files are fetched from Mojang's official servers (about 125 MB); nothing from Minecraft is redistributed.
Find the right starting point
- Read the repository README and its docs before downloading.
- Grab the zip from the repository's Releases, extract it somewhere writable, and start iw4l.exe.
- Confirm your MW2 folder, answer the Skate 3 question honestly, then pick the Minecraft tab in Create Game for the overworld map.
